Celebrate Agriculture.  Cheer on the Pokes.  Help Fight Hunger in Wyoming.   Get a free t-shirt.

Cowboy Fans headed to the University of Wyoming (UW) Cowboy Football game vs. New Mexico on Sept. 26 can check all items off this list above.  The Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation has partnered with UW Sports to hold a “Wyoming Needs Agriculture/Harvest for All” event to benefit the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies (WFBR).  WFBR, Wyoming’s only food bank, serves hunger relief agencies in all of Wyoming’s 23 counties.

Cowboy fans are asked to bring their donations to the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation Pre-Game Zone Area on Sept. 26 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  The first 400 Cowboy Fans to donate multiple canned food items, or cash donations, will receive a game day t-shirt.  The drive will benefit the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies (WFBR); Wyoming’s only food bank.  The WFBR serves hunger relief agencies in all of Wyoming’s 23 counties.

According to the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, nearly one in 12 Wyoming citizens struggle with putting enough food on the table.  Your food donations will make a difference in the WFBR’s work to fight hunger in Wyoming.  Every 1.2 pounds of food donated equals one meal and every dollar equals four meals.  Just think of the difference we can make together when each of us donates during the “Wyoming Needs Agriculture/Harvest for All” event.

The Farm Bureau Young Farmer & Rancher “Harvest for All” is a national program that raises food and money for local and state food banks that provide hunger relief.  As you share your Poke Pride, the Wyoming Farm Bureau encourages you to also Celebrate Agriculture; another strong Cowboy State tradition.  Wyoming Farmers and ranchers produce food and fiber while caring for the land and their animals.  Farmers and ranchers also provide wildlife habitat in the state.  Wyoming Needs Agriculture!

Share your Poke Pride and participate in the “Harvest for All” food drive Sept. 26 at the Wyoming Farm Bureau Pre-Game Zone area in Laramie.

The Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general agriculture organization.  The primary goals of the organization are to protect private property rights and help members achieve an equitable return on their investment.  Visit www.wyfb.org.
