Governor Gordon Signs Executive Orders in Support of Wyoming consumers

“My Executive Orders signed this week builds upon the President’s effort to bring relief to Wyoming constituents.”

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Oct. 8, 2026 - In further support of the Wyoming consumers, Governor Mark Gordon (R-WY) today issued two Executive Orders (E.O.) that will enhance the ability to transport agricultural products, gasoline and diesel across the Cowboy state. Executive Order 2026-09 temporarily eases the height and weight restrictions for the transportation of all agricultural products.

This E.O. complements E.O. 2026-08, signed on Tuesday, which specifically deals with livestock and livestock feed and extended an earlier order.  The drought throughout much of Wyoming continues to impact Wyoming agricultural industry and temporarily allowing larger loads of all agricultural products to be transported into or out of Wyoming will provide much needed relief for Wyoming’s citizens and businesses.

Executive Order 2026-10, adopts the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Hours of Service Waiver for interstate transportation of gasoline and diesel to waive certain hours of service restrictions within the State of Wyoming.  This order will allow additional deliveries of gasoline and diesel not only within Wyoming, but also for those deliveries coming from outside Wyoming.

“Everyone feels the pain of higher fuel costs.  I am pleased to join President Trump in easing that burden through the use of Executive Orders,” Governor Gordon said. “Earlier this week President Trump ordered the waiver of the federal penalties for the use of dyed diesel fuel on our highways.  My Executive Orders signed this week build upon the President’s effort to bring relief to Wyoming constituents. Here in Wyoming only the Legislature can waive state fines or provide refunds of fuel and sales tax.  I urge the incoming Governor and legislature to consider those possibilities or provide the Governor other emergency authorities.”
