CODY—Perry Livingston, of Sundance, was elected to his eleventh term as President of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation (WyFB) at the organization’s 96th annual meeting in Cody. Farm Bureau Asks Supreme Court to Stop EPA Abuse of Clean Water Act Powers – Nov. 6, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 6, 2015 –The American Farm Bureau Federation and a coalition of agricultural and builder groups today asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court ruling that allows the Environmental Protection Agency to micromanage local land use and development decisions under the guise of implementing the federal Clean Water Act. The lower court’s ruling, according to the petition, “opens the door for a dramatic expansion of federal power” and must be overturned. Read Full Article

Federal Court orders the EPA to stop – Oct. 9, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 9, 2015 – “A federal court today ordered the EPA to stop enforcement nationwide of the Waters of the United States rule. The American Farm Bureau Federation is pleased the Sixth Circuit recognizes that this rule has serious flaws and cannot go forward until the courts have had an opportunity to understand its effect on farmers, ranchers and landowners of all kinds. Farm Bureau: More Maps Show how EPA’s Overreach Imperils U.S. Agriculture, Housing and Industry – Sept. 3, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 3, 2015 – The American Farm Bureau Federation on Sept. 3 released still more maps that show how the Environmental Protection Agency intends to radically expand its jurisdiction over land use via the newly issued Waters of the United States rule. Implementation of the rule in at least 13 states was recently halted by a court in North Dakota pending further hearings. Read Full Article
