WYOMING FARM BUREAU AWARDS NINE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
����������� Laramie-Agriculture�OurFuture.�� The WyomingFarm Bureau Federation recently awarded nine college scholarships to thechildren of Farm Bureau members.
����������� �Our familystarted the Herbert D. Livingston/H.J. King Memorial scholarship in memory ofmy grandfather and Mr. King,� Perry Livingston,WyFB vice president, said.� �We are proud to provide assistance to thechildren of Farm Bureau members as they work to obtain higher education.� We are equally as proud and excited to seethe growth in scholarships awarded by the Wyoming Farm Bureau.�
����������� TheLivingston-King scholarship is worth $750.�The Livingston-King scholarship recipient is Jessica Cates, of Buffalo.� Her parents are Dave and TondaCates.
����������� The fiveWyoming Farm Bureau Federation scholarships are $500 each.� The recipients are:� Cally Pfister, of Lusk, the daughter of Ronda Pfisterand the late Jack Pfister; Layne Strannigan, ofCheyenne, the daughter of Matt and Jan Strannigan; Kitson Brown, of Lance Creek, the daughter of Lee and VickiBrown; Shaleas Harrison, of Powell, the daughter ofRick and Karlene Harrison; and Brittany Rodeman, of Douglas, the daughter of Billie Jean Hirsch.
����������� Three�continuing education� scholarships are also $500 each.� The continuing education scholarshiprecipients must submit at least two years of college transcripts.� The recipients are:� Vanessa Greer, of Lance Creek, the daughterof Andy and Brenda Greer; Sarah Greer, of Lance Creek, the daughter of Andy andBrenda Greer; and Abbey Garber, of Big Horn, the daughter of Roy and NancyGarber.
����������� In additionto state scholarships, the county FarmBureaus offer scholarships to the children of Farm Bureau members totalingnearly $20,000.
����������� �WyFBcongratulates each of the recipients and wishes all of them the best in theircontinued education,� Livingston concluded.
����������� Scholarshipapplications are due March 1 each year and are available at local county FarmBureau offices or at www.wyfb.org.� �We encourage past recipients to continueapplying for the scholarships while they are in college,� Livingstonsaid.� �The continuing educationscholarships are designed for those students.��
